To keep the premium affordable for existing policyholders, you need to answer medical questions. Based on your answers, we will determine whether or not we accept someone directly, ask additional questions or offer an alternative.

However, the level of coverage provided is not allowed to exceed that of yourself, your partner or any other insured person aged 18 or above, who is specified on the health-care policy. Children are also not allowed to have Tandfit plans, as the basic health-care plan covers dental health care up to the age of 18.

If you do not have an ONVZ basic health-care plan, you pay a surcharge of 50% on Optifit.

ONVZ has two basic health-care plans: ONVZ Vrije Keuze and ONVZ Bewuste Keuze. If you would like the Optifit supplementary health-care plan, it is only available in combination with the ONVZ Vrije Keuze Basic health-care plan.

You or your child will start paying premium from the 1st day of the month immediately after your child’s 18th birthday, at which point you will no longer be entitled to the child premium rate.
