If your family members come with you to the Netherlands and they have been issued a residence permit, they may be entitled to health insurance in the Netherlands.
Wether your family members are - or are not - entitled to health insurance in the Netherlands depends on the reason their permit was issued.

In addition, we will check whether your family members are registered with a Dutch local council and why they were issued a residence permit. If your family members do not have a residence permit, they cannot take out Dutch health insurance. However, they can apply for the ONVZ Health Basic or Health Premium.
If your family members are waiting for a permanent residence permit and are registered with a Dutch local council, they can apply for Health Basic or Health Premium. Health Basic is a health-care plan that covers most of the necessary medical costs. Health Premium offers more extensive coverage for things like physical therapy (e.g. physiotherapy), dental care and general basic mental health care (GGZ).
Please note: Health Basic and Health Premium are subject to a screening procedure to determine whether you are eligible. This means that you will be asked to answer some questions about your family members' medical history when applying for Health Basic or Health Premium.
