Coronavirus: information for our insureds

The coronavirus affects us all. Our health is at stake and we may need to adjust our lifestyle. Inconvenient, but necessary.

ONVZ follows the situation surrounding Covid-19 closely. We would like to tell you what is going on behind the scenes in these challenging times. Because even now, especially now, we want to continue to help and inspire you to lead a good and healthy life.

Great appreciation for all health-care providers

We would like to express our appreciation for the dedication and flexibility shown by all doctors, nurses, hospitals and their employees. They are making every effort to be able to (continue to) provide the necessary care. We have been working together with most of these health-care providers for years and we are doing everything we can to give them extra support during this period.

We are joining forces

We make plans and agreements with other health insurers and branch associations, for example. This allows health-care providers to devote all their time and attention to actually providing care, unhindered by financial uncertainties or administrative matters.

We are here whenever you need us

Our employees now work from home. They are ready to assist you via chat (yellow button on the right side of the page), telephone and social media. Rest assured they will offer you personal and high-quality support, as you are used to from us. We are of course also available to answer questions from health-care providers and insurance agents.

Frequently asked questions and tips to keep fit

On our website you will find an overview of frequently asked questions about the coronavirus. You can also look for inspiration in our Gids in gezondheid (health guide, in Dutch) or on our Twitter and Facebook page. Do not forget to check out former top skater Jochem Uytdehaage's tips to stay physically and mentally fit (in Dutch). In the newsletter that will appear later this week, a family doctor/ GP will answer the most important corona questions in a vlog.

Life at home and health

For now, the most important thing is not getting sick. However, staying fit and healthy is an extra challenge for many people during this time. Many people now work from home and our freedom of movement is limited. What does this do to our mental and physical health? What effect does social distancing and home life have on our mood and physical condition? And how can we positively influence this? We will try our utmost to find the answers to these questions, so that we can continue to help and inspire everyone in the Netherlands to lead a good and healthy life, especially under these challenging circumstances.

We wish everyone strength and good health for the time ahead.
