It allows employees to receive specialist treatment 50 days sooner on average, so they can often return to work sooner as well.
Why choose ONVZ Snelzorg?
Health care in the Netherlands is good, but demand is increasing and personnel shortages are on the rise. This leads to higher health-care costs and longer waiting lists. In order to do something about this, ONVZ offers Snelzorg. Agreements with health-care providers ensure that your employees can get treated sooner and can therefore often get back to work sooner as well. Snelzorg is included in ONVZ’s Vrije Keuze basic health-care plan.
What is Snelzorg?
Snelzorg is an initiative where ONVZ makes arrangements with health-care providers in the Netherlands, so your employees can be treated there sooner. ONVZ’s ZorgConsulent advisers stay in touch with all health-care providers contracted by ONVZ in the Netherlands.

They know which of these providers can help your employees sooner and which hospital is the best choice for each treatment, so your employees can count on ONVZ for waiting list mediation. With ONVZ Vrije Keuze your employees won’t have to pay extra for Snelzorg, as it’s included in the basic health-care plan.

Seeing a medical specialist quickly
Snelzorg allows your employees to quickly see a medical specialist who is a member of our Snelzorg network. We’ll take care of everything from the moment they submit a Snelzorg request through the ONVZ ZorgConsulent advisers. We get in touch with the medical specialist and we reimburse the costs directly to the health-care provider. This ensures that your employees get their treatment as quickly as possible.
